Value and accountability
Community carbon credits (C3s) are valued based on the quality and verifiability of the data and methods used, supply and demand, and the value you establish for them on the Community Carbon Marketplace. Strict accounting is applied and each C3 is assigned a unique tracking number which is retired after purchase to ensure proper tracking. Each C3 can only be created, bought and sold once. All projects listed on the CCM have been quantified using accepted methods for the jurisdiction and each is accountable to you, the buyer, through the CCM and by visiting operating GHG reduction projects in their community to see them for yourself!
